Cuando vi My life wothout me, o sea Mi vida sin mí. Lloré como hacía tiempo que no lo hacía. No sé si por Ann, o por las cosas que su historia me disparó.

En su diario, el día que comienza a vivir el final de su vida, Ann escribe el decálogo de lo que tiene que hacer y quiere hacer antes de morir.

1. Tell my daughters I love them several times.
2. Find Don a new wife who the girls like.
3. Record birthday messages for the girls for every year until they're 18.
4. Go to Whalebay Beach together and have a big picnic.
5. Smoke and drink as much as I want.
6. Say what I'm thinking.
7. Make love with other men to see what it's like.
8. Make someone fall in love with me.
9. Go and see Dad in Jail.
10. Get false nails. And do something with my hair.

En esta peli de la catala Isabelle Coixet hay algo que se remueve de una manera particular. A mí tampoco me gusta contar las películas, y no soy crítico de cine. Pero también encuentro que acá hay algo más que decir.

La manera de pensarlo, reflexionarlo y plantarse para su vida, Ann, por más corta que fuera y difícil lo que le quedaba.Y una historia tan dolorosa, tan visceralmente dolorosa, que encuentre una fibra de amor y pureza para mostrar es algo increíble -de admirable- para quienes estamos definitivamente de este lado de la razón.
